Focus and Edit

by Chrysula on March 23, 2011 in defining, finding, listening, work life balance

I have been quiet lately. Not my usual state of affairs! As the world turns in crazy, often horrific ways, and the intense spate of natural disasters coupled with another war have my mind and heart in overload, I have had to stop and think for a while. I have had to review the often chaotic whirlwind that is my life. My life by choice.

And breathe. And review. And focus. And edit.

Grabbing what matters most and hugging it close to me has been pivotal–literally and symbolically. I cannot give and contribute to the clamor of needs “out there” if I am not grounded and clear “in here” about where my focus needs to be and what it is I am fighting for.

First things first my friends. What are you fighting for?

I have had similar thoughts. This is not a time to be scattered and ineffective. I have told my husband and children my top three priorities. Then I engaged their help to make sure I don’t commit to anything outside of those three priorities no matter how excited I am initially. Focus makes me stronger and more confident. It is a great coping strategy in an unpredictable world.

I’m fighting with my self….with all I want to acomplish….and in time to time I need to put me back on my focus and I need to write a plan
Thank you
