Morra Aarons-Mele, Founder of Women Online, Harvard Business Review blogger and life long advocate of women’s leadership, answers: “Women now hold 15.6% of the board seats of Fortune 1000 companies–but companies with a higher percentage of women on their boards perform better--it’s that simple.”

On 12/12/12 people in almost 20 cities will hold lunch events to discuss the urgent need for gender diversity on our corporate boards.  To build excitement for our day of action and spread awareness about why it’s important for businesses to include more women on their boards, I’m asking you to join 2020 Women on Boards on Twitter at 12:00 pm Eastern on December 4th to explore this crucial topic.
