Craving Balance

by Chrysula on January 4, 2012 in defining, planning, work life balance

When I first met The Daily Thrive’s founder Lisa Gates, I discovered her term “craving balance”. That term has stuck with me ever since. It seems to capture the hunger we have, with our multi-faceted lives that can be so exciting, so challenging and so exhausting! Too much of being pulled in innumerable directions; our recharging time somehow being pushed to the back of the list, and those dreams?! Well, who has the time?

Our souls desire to behave in ways that line up with what we believe and value.  That is called living an integrated life.  When behavior matches values, we are whole.  We live without apology, heads held high.  Not in arrogance, but in quiet authority that we are on the right path.

On January 30th, I’ll be kicking off with The Daily Thrive (a She Negotiates project), a year of focused online coaching in daily bite-sized blasts of learning, with coaching and feedback from an incredible team of experts I am thrilled to partner with.

Six experts. Six critical life topics. One Year. One Life. Yours.

My portion of the community focused on balance. What we will not talk about is balance by portioning your life out in equal parts. It’s not realistic, not sustainable and probably not even desirable. Rather, we’ll be talking about the kind of balance that functions in your core. Where balance becomes what it means for you–what it looks, smells and tastes like in your world, and where those dreams get dusted off and made part of the vision and the details of your daily life.

Like you, I’ve got a lot going on, a lot of equally important priorities. I’m not interested in wasting your time with fluff–I know this works. I see the power in conscious living every day as I implement the knowledge and principles we will be sharing with you over the coming months.

I’ve been drawn to what we are creating at The Daily Thrive, in part because because of the holistic nature of it. We are examining, teaching and supporting you as a whole person, not just bits and pieces of you, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve chosen to put some of my precious time here. That, and the amazing range of talents and knowledge of my fellow coaches and perhaps most importantly, their passion, humanity and vision.

The world needs us at our absolute best, anchored deeply in knowing who we are–and acting on that knowledge every single day. My job is to help you get clear about that critical knowledge, what you’re capable of and implementing tried and tested tools to help you live and breath in the space where potential and reality meet.

My partners will help you also dive into money, negotiation, productivity, technology and nurturing your soul, so that your whole self can learn, grow and thrive daily. Delivering bite sized pieces of inspiration and action, The Daily Thrive will help your true voice be heard. We would be honored to partner with you in that process.

Get on our list to learn more and thrive daily!

A reality defining post Chrysula. Truly enjoyed reading your article. One thing I learned before I became a bestselling author and long before Inc Magazine voted my company as one of the fastest growing companies is that living an integrated life is really enjoyable.
